Upcoming CDs

New song from Flyleaf "New Horizons". No set date for CD yet also titled New Horizons.

Three Days Grace is coming out with a new album, Transit of Venus, October 2, 2012. Their new single is "Chalk Outline".

Papa Roach also has an album coming out October 2, The Connection. They have a single "Still Swingin'", which uses some electronica, never done that before. The music video is awesome! Walkers! Score! For you non Walking Dead fans that's zombies to you. (You have Dish don't you?) They just went up a whole new level on my music meter for that one. And if you pay attention to your bands' hair like I do, you will see that there has been dying and cutting locks off of heads.

Beatdown

On a radio show in my area they have a beatdown where they put two bands against each other and people have to vote for their favorite. Their voting kind of sucks because they take the votes they get from people over the computer and mash it with the votes they get from people calling in and apparently if you call in that vote is worth way more than a click of a button.
Example: They put Stone Sour's "Absolute Zero" against Blaqk Audio's "Faith Healer". As of now on the website Stone Sour has 20% and BA has 80%, but guess who won. Stone Sour all because FIVE callers called in for them. That's preposterous I tell you!

Anyway I'm bias, but I definitely would vote Blaqk Audio. Although I like Stone Sour just not as much as my two favorite people getting together to produce lovely, lovely music. (Anyone else say that in Bane's voice?)

Who do you choose? Watch out, you might find yourself in a choose your own adventure.

Shows!

I saw Julien-K at Vinyl last night. It's this new place that opened at the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas and it just happened to be opening night also. It's a pretty sweet venue. It's small, smaller than the House of Blues in Vegas which is pretty small. But it's long, so it's like a skinny tall rectangle. The picture below shows how short the stage is and there is no barrier! I've never been to a show where they didn't have at least one muscular bald dude standing guard. It's really awesome it's like the band is right in your face the entire time.

Opening band was Battle Tapes who are actually quite good. Usually the opening bands suck or they're just boring and I want to get on to the real excitement.
And now...Julien-K

Haha I loved that I got a picture of him smiling, he only did that like once.
And the video I always take even though the sound sucks, but I think this video is awesome because I got him dancing and its soo fun to see him dance, just turn the sound down.

his freaky deep voice has grown on me

There's a radio station that I haven't listened to in a while and so I decided to listen to it for a few days and they keep playing this song, "Still Counting" by Volbeat. At first I didn't like it because I'm not a huge fan of really deep voices and the way his voice keeps going up and down just annoyed me. But the radio station kept playing the song, I swear it was on every time I turned the radio on. I like to think that there were evil minions that kept pushing replay and saying "You're going to listen to it until you like it!"
And that is how his freaky deep voice grew on me.

Then I went on youtube because when people have voices like that I always want to see what they look like and found this awesome cover.

Upcoming CDs

I just found out today that Billy Talent is coming out with a new CD! I don't know why I haven't heard about it yet, but they already have two singles out, Viking Death March and Surprise, Surprise. The album is called Dead Silence and it comes out September 7, 2012.

September is a good month. Blaqk Audio is also coming out with a new album (finally) after postponing the release date over and over, but I'm just glad it's finally done and super happy.
The album is Bright Black Heaven and is coming out September 11, 2012. Many songs have been released, but this is the newest.

Green Day has three albums coming out this year and the first one appropriately named Uno! is coming out September 25, 2012. The second single to come out is "Kill The DJ"

No Doubt's new album is also coming out on September 25, 2012. It is called Push and Shove and the single is in a post somewhere below this one.
