Shows!
So Afi was here Saturday. Coming and Touche Amore opened for them. Coming was alright, I hadn't heard anything from them and I couldn't find them on youtube. The drummer took his shirt off and then had these really short shorts on and someone in the audience yelled "put some pants on, man!" Then the drummer for touche amore took his shirt off too before they even got through the first song, but Davey wore a leather jacket through the whole show.
Touche Amore was pretty great the vocalist has a lot of energy and he is one brave man. He gets right in the middle of the pit and let's the audience push him around. I touched him three times. Plus their guitarist looks a little like Davey Havok. At first we thought he was apart of the crew and he had on glasses. Then he took off the glasses and attached a guitar to himself and became a whole lot more attractive. Their crew looks way too much like the band. I thought I saw Adam and Hunter too, nope just crew.
Then AFI came on and I've never had a problem with my hair at shows until now. There was so much surging to the front and pushing I had to pull all my hair to the front to keep it from getting pulled.
In my last post I talked about my favorite moment and AFI did not disappoint. There were many times with just the audience singing "don't speak my name" during kill caustic,"will you" during ever and a day, during God called in sick today he was head walking and told us to sing so we did because he's so demanding but we like it. I can't remember what song it was, but Davey just left the stage at one point, so the audience was singing this whole verse and everyone knew there was supposed to be a growl that was about to come up, but by the time we got to it Davey hadn't gotten back yet, so some of us took it into our own hands and did the growl. It was funny trying to hear them all growl. And of course we all chanted through our bleeding we are one together. I love that, does any other band have a / their own chant?
All three bands' vocalists jumped off the stage at some point.
A very high energy show through the whole night, the only slower song was Leaving Song pt. 1 and it was still pretty loud, if you check out the video of it below.
All in all it was a wonderful evening, did I mention this was my first time seeing AFI live ever? I will definitely see them again.

Favorite Concert Moment
Most people are like I just love the band, that one song is my favorite moment. Those are just favorite moments of one show, but I'm weird at all shows whoever the band is, whatever they're singing I always have one favorite moment and it's the same for all shows. I love it when it's just the audience singing. I mean I love AFI since that's two of the videos below, Davey has the most amazing voice, but when he steps away from the mic and the whole crowd knows those few words and sings them together it gives me shivers....is that odd? I guess it's just the oneness of it, that this one song has brought all these people together and they're all sharing this awesome moment.
I think this is my favorite one ever.
It starts at 2:16. It's so short and sweet, but just made that whole song for me.
This one starts at 2:06, but I like 2:28 the best. It's crazy just two words and I love it.
Here's one not AFI, I was actually there for this one. Starts at 1:25, would've been better if that one guy's voice didn't stick out so much, not much unity in that one.

Try not to be a music snob?
Ha look what I found
It's kind of funny, he's not that much better. Anyways I've been trying to fight it, but I actually like the tune of this song. The problem is I do not like Miley Cyrus's voice, I don't know every time I hear it, it just rubs me the wrong way. The nasally scratchiness of it I don't even know how to describe it, I just don't like it. There was a guy that was commenting about because people don't like her voice they don't know singing because she was hitting those notes perfectly. That doesn't mean they don't know singing it means they have an opinion, not everyone likes the same kind of voices. Opera singers sure they hit those crazy notes, but they also put some people to sleep. Back to this song, I decided I would probably like it better if someone else was singing it and my search began, that's how I found this guy. Which is funny because I was just thinking Punk Goes Pop should cover this song although he's not actually doing it for them.
There are a lot of covers, but I do like it more coming from someone else's mouth

Octubre!
Heyo! It's October!! The beginning of the best month trio ever! I love Ottobre Halloween, Halloween music, scary movies, except for Jeepers Creepers only movie that has kept me up at night that one is off the list, oh and you know just AFI is going to be here for the special month of Oktober.
Here's a treat to start your Octobre. and probably more throughout the month.
More for the song, but I guess vampires are Halloween, if you do it right. I've never seen this show, but I have it on good authority that none of them sparkle.
