Don't Judge...People Do Meth

Both of these songs are from artists that I usually don't listen to, but these two songs have somehow made their way through the barricades of my mind. I blame the chorus, both are catchy. And catchy is my weakness along with square dancing, but we'll save that for a rainy day.

The first one is in that huge rock genre that branches off into whatever it can to get it's grimy little hands on. Not that it's a bad thing... sometimes. But this band is pretty close to others that I listen to, so it's not a huge surprise I guess.

And now ..... the one you don't tell anyone you like, unless they say something first and then you have this moment where all the confessions poor out about how one of you likes the tune to "Hot n' Cold"and the other admits that "MMMBop" changed their life. Trust me it happens. Don't judge.... people do meth. (Ha I use that saying way too much, I blame you! You know who you are!)

New Find/Artist Friday Moment

Why have I never heard of these guys? I don't know, so don't ask, but they're great.
Unfortunately there's not much you can find on them, so random youtube videos!

New Metric

Metric just came out with a new song, "Youth Without Youth". Check it out here
I like it, it's got a great beat. It's a head bobber.
And they also have a new album, Synthetica, coming out in early June. I think it's going to be a good one.
If you haven't heard Metric, I recommend the album Fantasies, it's my favorite CD from them so far.

Shows!

I saw Tiger Army last weekend with my sister who said that I was dead to her, but now I will be redeemed after posting this.
They're wonderful and helped us get one step closer to our goal of seeing AFI. Nick 13 is friends with Davey and Jade and also he has pretty eyes ( which has nothing to do with afi, just saying) and Geoff Kresge used to be the bassist for afi.

They played favorites like "Afterworld" and "Forever fades Away". They played "Pain" which is an awesome song, but you know how some songs give a different reaction when played live? If you're seeing them for the first time, sometimes it's surprising what songs create the most moshing and this was one of them. As the show ended they gave us a choice of what song to play next, "Power of Moonlight" or my favorite "Incorporeal". So because I yelled my head off and clapped my hands as loud as I could they played "Incorporeal", just so they wouldn't have to deal with the crazy kid up front. And ended the show with "Never Die".

Oh and Happy Friday the 13th. I always forget that it's that day. I'm more of a Halloween girl myself.
I always forget about April Fool's day too. I think it's the month April, we just need to get rid of the whole thing.
